The right song can make a normal scene in a movie one that goes down as a classic, and pairing a scene with the perfect backing tune can shed new light on a song you thought you knew. So for the MTV Movie Awards, we honor the music that met the perfect movie and made the magic happen.

Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to cast your vote and make sure your favorite takes the stage this Sunday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET to collect the Golden Popcorn.

Here's our rundown of the Best Music nominees:

College and Electric Youth's "A Real Hero," "Drive"
If "Drive" had been just a straightforward crime thriller like a synopsis might suggest, it would have amounted to nothing more than an average genre entry with a pretty face attached. Instead, director Nicolas Winding Refn infused every inch of this new cult classic with '80s nostalgia, including an electro-fueled soundtrack, led by the College/ Electric Youth collaboration "A Real Hero." The pick could seem odd at first, but as soon as it kicks in and all other sound fades away, everything just clicks.

Figurine's "Impossible," "Like Crazy"
Young lovers inevitably come to adopt songs as meaningful and important to the memory of their relationship. Appropriately, last year's "Like Crazy" featured a killer soundtrack, suitable for the impossibly cute first love. "Impossible" comes up during one of the more difficult moments in the film, when our ocean-crossed lovers are apart and old memories keep new ones from taking. It added a layer of reality and depth to a scene that felt straight out of real life.

Kid Cudi's "Pursuit of Happiness" (Steve Aoki dance remix), "Project X"
When it comes to throwing the world's greatest house party, a badass playlist lands at the top of the to-do list, right below "invite people." Just a quick glimpse at the clip proves that there's nothing quite like this Kid Cudi/ Steve Aoki jam to party till the sun comes up or the cops kick everyone out.

LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem," "21 Jump Street"
Now if you're more in the mood for party music to get stabbed in the back to, LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem" may be more up your alley. The song turned out to be the perfect accent to Schmidt and Jenko's first big house party as fake high-schoolers, and it showed that you shouldn't let something like a pesky knife wound ruin your rager.

The Chemical Brothers' "The Devil Is in the Details," "Hanna"
Similar to "Drive," "Hanna" uses fairy-tale motifs and a frighteningly memorable score from the Chemical Brothers to elevate what would have otherwise been a rather typical Bourne rip-off. The music adds a whole other level of danger and makes the tale of a tween-age master assassin all the more sinister and disturbing.

Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now! The 21st annual MTV Movie Awards air live this Sunday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have taken their love affair to Cannes. The small-screen reality siren and the filmmaker/MC made a date night of West's "Cruel Summer" premiere this week in the famed French seaside town, where Kim showed up in a beaded white and gold dress, and Kanye had a more relaxed look , wearing a white blazer with a white T-shirt and jeans.

According to People.com, before the couple entered the premiere, the wind blew through Kardashian's hair and West stopped to fix it for her. Inside the bash, which was held in a tented pyramid, the PDA didn't end. As the screening wrapped, Kim reportedly whispered something in Kanye's ear before joining in a standing ovation for the rapper. They were spotted nuzzling later at the afterparty.

The film premiere was just the latest stop on Kim and Kanye's Tour de Cannes. One night earlier, they hit up Yeezy's "Cruel Summer" fete, and on Tuesday they attended a party thrown by Diddy, E! News reported. The pair turned up at his yacht party hand-in hand, with Kardashian wearing a lacy cropped top and matching high-waisted skirt, and West in a black hoodie, black tee and jeans.

While Kim initially arrived in France solo, West met up with her later. "It's my first time to Cannes and it's amazing!" Kardashian told Usmagazne.com. "I love it here."

Are you looking forward to seeing Kanye's "Cruel Summer"? Tell us in the comments!

Robert Plant And Alison Krauss Win Grammy Album Of The Year

Raising Sand, from Led Zeppelin vet and bluegrass superstar, wins five Grammys on Sunday night.
By James Montgomery with MTV News staff

<P>"I'm bewildered," Robert Plant said onstage as he accepted the <MTVNLINK type="news" id="1604580">Grammy Album of the Year award</MTVNLINK> with Alison Krauss on Sunday night. "In the old days we would have called this selling out, but it's a good way to spend a Sunday."</P><P>He was probably one of the few who were surprised, because <i>Raising Sand,</i> which won five trophies at Sunday night's show, is in many ways the perfect Grammy album. It features two respected veterans, a critically lauded producer, some sandpaper-and-velvet vocals and a baker's dozen of time-tested standards.</p><div style="margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; float: left;"></div><p></P><P>You're probably familiar with Robert Plant from his Led Zeppelin days, and you might be aware of producer T-Bone Burnett's work on the "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" soundtrack (it won the Grammy for Album of the Year in 2002). And if you don't know who Alison Krauss is, she possesses a haunting set of pipes and is one of the meanest fiddle players in the world. Oh, and she's won 21 Grammys, more than any other female artist and the seventh-most in history.</P><P>Really, she's the key to <i>Sand</i>'s success, and not just because of her voice (or her fiddle playing). She and Plant first met in 2004, at a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tribute to legendary bluesman Leadbelly, and the former Zeppelin man was amazed by her knowledge of American Roots music &#8212; so much so that they began kicking around the idea of recording an album together. Three years later, <i>Sand</i> was released.</P><P>And while Plant possesses the more famous voice, the album's finest moments radiate from Krauss. Whether she's getting bluesy on Little Milton's "Let Your Loss Be Your Lesson" or entwining with Plant's husky voice on songs like "Please Read the Letter" and Roly Salley's winsome "Killing the Blues," she more than carries her end of the bargain.</P><P>And perhaps that's also due to producer Burnett, who handpicked the 13 songs the duo cover on <i>Sand.</i> His arrangements are sparse &#8212; giving the two voices ample room to breathe &#8212; yet dense, warm and crackling at the same time. It's a testament to his work that he's often given just as much billing as Plant and Krauss on the project ... and it's certainly justified.</P><P>To date, <i>Sand</i> has sold more than 1 million copies, heaped tons of acclaim and actually earned a Grammy last year &#8212; "Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)" took home the award for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals.</P><P>One expert was surprised not by the album's success, but by the fact that it's actually quite a good album.</P><P>"At first, the album seemed like a vanity project. ... Two names, clearly a one-off record, didn't have to be any good, you know?" <i>New York Times</i> music critic Jon Caramanica said. "Led Zeppelin fans would buy it because of Robert Plant, Alison Krauss would get a check. But it actually turned out to be a really thoughtful, really <i>good</i> record. So when you combine all that with the fact that the Grammys love to lionize one of their own, I could really see it taking home some awards." </p>

Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball Kicks Off Amid Protests

Seoul, South Korea, set list heavy on new material, but Gaga's biggest hits come out to play.
By John Mitchell

<P>Lady Gaga kicked off her hotly awaited <i>Born This Way</i> Ball at Seoul, South Korea's Olympic Stadium on Friday (April 27) in front of 45,000 fans, and despite protests from Christian groups saying Mother Monster was "obscene" and could "taint" young people with her performance, the concert appears to have gone on without incident.</P><P>Intrepid Twitter fans are already showing off pictures and video of the <i>BTW</i> Ball's enormous Gothic castle backdrop and myriad costume changes, making it clear that Gaga has outdone even her own Monster Ball in terms of spectacle.</P><P>While we wait for reviews to trickle in from halfway around the world, one thing is certain: No minors were corrupted at the show. Earlier this month, the Korea Media Rating Board decided to elevate the age rating for the concert from 12 to 18, prohibiting minors from seeing the concert. When the board notified Gaga's tour promotion company and a sponsor of the change in age restrictions, it did not offer a reason why the show &#8212; which at the time was still in rehearsals and had not been reviewed publicly &#8212; was considered unsuitable for children under 18.</P><P><CENTER></CENTER></P><P>The likely catalyst for the board's decision came more into focus as the concert neared and protests from a group of conservative Christians calling itself the Alliance for Sound Culture in Sexuality ramped up. The group covered Seoul with posters accusing Gaga of "spreading unhealthy sexual culture" through "lewd lyrics and performances."</P><P>The superstar and her fans, however, were undeterred. Though she tweeted her hopes that the Korea Media Rating Board would reverse its decision (it didn't), she continued on as planned. Many fans reportedly arrived at the show wearing versions of Gaga's most well-known flamboyant costumes, and there have been no reports of disturbances at the concert.</P><P>Before the show, Gaga tweeted, "I can you hear you Korea. I'm shaking."</P><P>Gaga's performance was heavy on material from her <i>Born this Way</i> album, though her biggest hits, including "Bad Romance," Poker Face" and "Just Dance," were represented.</P><P>Lady Gaga's <i>Born This Way</i> Ball set list:</P><P><b>&#187;</b> "Highway Unicorn" <br> <b>&#187;</b> "Government Hooker"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "Born This Way"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "Bloody Mary"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "Bad Romance"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "Fashion of His Love"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "The Queen"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "Just Dance"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "Love Game"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "Telephone"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "Just Dance"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "Heavy Metal Lover"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "Bad Kids"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "Hair"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "Yo&#252; and I"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "Electric Chapel"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "Americano"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "Poker Face"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "Schei&#223;e"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "The Edge of Glory"<br> <b>&#187;</b> "Marry the Night"</P><P><i>Did you see Lady Gaga's </i>Born This Way<i> Ball?
