Anything can happen on the red carpet at any given awards show, and in 2011, it felt like anything that could happen did. As MTV News reflects on some of the biggest moments of the year, we decided to remember some of the most-memorable things A-listers did live right in front of us all.

Lady Gaga's Egg
In February, Gaga had everyone guessing how she would arrive to the Grammys. Given her penchant for crazy looks, no one would have guessed she would have showed up in an egg. Designed by Hussein Chalayan, Gaga later emerged from the structure to proclaim that she was "Born This Way." What was your favorite red-carpet moment of 2011? Vote in our Newsroom poll! Snooki
Speaking of the Grammys, the reality star joined MTV News' own Sway Calloway to talk to all the stars at the show. After helping us out on the 2010 red carpet, we learned that anything is possible with Snooki, and 2011 solidified that she's the fieriest "meatball" to grace the "Jersey Shore." We wonder if she and Bruno Mars ever ended up dating. Paul McDonald and Nikki Reed
"Twilight" star Nikki Reed surprised everyone when she hit up the MTV Movie Awards in June. No, she hadn't borrowed Gaga's egg: She was rocking an engagement rock from her beau and "American Idol" alum Paul McDonald. The couple used the red carpet as the platform to announce their engagement, and married in October. Beyoncé's Baby Bump
She might have rubbed that burgeoning baby bump onstage at the Video Music Awards in August, but hours before she took the stage, donning a bright orange gown, Beyoncé let the paparazzi know she was expecting her first child with hubby Jay-Z by flaunting her pregnancy glow. Justin Bieber's Snake
While Beyoncé shared with the world her baby news, Bieber not only planted a kiss on VMA pre-show host and real-life lady love Selena Gomez, but also introduced her to his pet snake. His name? Johnson. She seemed less interested in the snake than perhaps he would have liked. What was your favorite red-carpet moment in 2011? Share your pick below!

Our Favorite Celebrity Couples Of 20111676487

From Britney and Jason to K-Stew and R-Pattz, we look back at the best high-profile pair-ups of the year.

From young love to established romantic empires, 2011 was all about PDA. Some of La La Land's most A-list couples weren't shy about flaunting the love they share. From musicians to actors to everyone in between, the last 12 months were all about sharing the love. As the year winds down, MTV News is reflecting on some of our favorite couples of the year.

Britney Spears and Jason Trawick
The couple walked red carpets, gave each other shout-outs at awards shows and even got naked together in Britney's "Criminal" video, but it wasn't until December that they decided to make it official. After two years of dating, Spears and Trawick took their relationship to the next level, with confirmation that Jason put a ring on it. The pair celebrated their love and their impending nuptials in Las Vegas. Their engagement sparked headlines and left Spears "glowing." Who is your top couple of 2011? Vote in our Newsroom poll! Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez
Summing up Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's year into a little blurb isn't that easy. They went to events together, and Bieber lavishly rented the Staples Center just to watch "Titanic." And when they weren't chilling out, they were giving shine to each other's hard work. Or bringing each other gifts. Remember when Bieber showed Selena his pet snake, Johnson, at the VMAs? Yes, we knew you wouldn't forget. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson
The two "Twilight" stars seem poised to make our favorite couples lists for years to come. While in years past, they've remained under the radar, this year they came out of their shell and opened up about one another in interviews. Who could forget the time that K-Stew referred to her not-so-mysterious "English" boyfriend in an interview? We're assuming not R-Pattz.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z
OK, so Beyoncé and Jay-Z have been together for, like, an eternity, but it wasn't until this year that the pair really had everyone buzzing. When Beyoncé stepped out at the VMAs, her expanding midsection and flashy performance was the ultimate pregnancy announcement. Jay-Z didn't seem to mind all the attention. He celebrated the baby news in the audience with his pal Kanye West. Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose
Amber Rose rebounded from her relationship with Kanye West by falling in love with Wiz Khalifa. The couple took the world on their wild relationship ride, from doing interviews together to sparking rumors that they had tied the knot. These two kept everyone talking and they don't seem to mind the attention, or spending lots of time with one another. Did we forget your favorite couple of 2011? Let us know on Facebook!

Jason Derulo's Canceled Tour Was Going To Be 'Very Different'

'There will be somewhat of a story line, almost like a musical,' Derülo told MTV News before fracturing his neck.

On Thursday Jason Derülo was forced to cancel his upcoming Future History world tour due to a fracture in his neck from rehearsal. Derülo addressed his fans via Twitter, saying, "I fractured my neck doing tumbling & acrobatics 4 tour! Always tryin 2 push boundaries 4 YOU! Like my new chain? ;)"

In December, Derülo sat down with MTV News to talk about his tour, which was to kick off next month in Glasgow, and explained that he was putting himself through a rigorous rehearsal schedule.

"Right after the holidays I'm starting to really prepare for the tour so I'll be in tap rehearsals, gymnastics and doing all this other stuff that is going to enhance the show," Derülo said. "So I'll have a month and a half of preparation."

The "Don't Wanna Go Home" singer, who recently performed on MTV's "NYE in NYC 2012," released a statement via his label, which read, "To all my fans who planned to come to the Future History world tour, the pain of letting you down cuts me way deeper than this injury I've sustained. My fans mean everything to me, so I'm praying for a speedy recovery in order to perform for you in the near future."

And it seems that Derülo had his fans in mind when planning his upcoming stage performance. "For my show I want to bring a performance-art element. It won't just be a 'run of the mill' me standing in front of a band, it will be a lot of dancing, obviously, but there will be somewhat of a story line, almost like a musical. So it's a show that's going to be very different than anything people have ever seen. I've just really, really been trying to focus on creating something that is new, something that is fresh, so that when my fans come, it will be an experience."

There's still no word on whether these tour dates will be rescheduled, but Derülo, who said he would have liked to have Miguel or Travie McCoy join him on the tour, did tell MTV News he is planning on releasing more singles off his sophomore album, Future History, in the new year.

Post your get-well wishes for Derülo in the comments below.

Emma Stone is ready to ride in a "Little White Corvette" in her next flick.

"The Help" star is attached to the comedy, for which she'll reportedly make $1 million up-front, Deadline reports. The story, which returns the actress to her funny-lady roots, follows two siblings who find cocaine in their dead father's old Corvette. They attempt to cash in on the million-dollar bundle when they head down to Miami to sell it off. The part of her sibling has yet to be cast.

Stone has been interested in the project, for which she will also serve as executive producer, since mid-2011. Production is scheduled to begin this summer.

Until then, comic book fans everywhere are looking forward to seeing her take on Gwen Stacy in "The Amazing Spider-Man"; she'll also reconnect with her "Crazy, Stupid, Love" co-star Ryan Gosling in the period drama "Gangster Squad." Both films are out later this year, and both are fighting it out in the MTV Movie Brawl 2012.

As awards season rages on, Stone's breakout film, "The Help," continues to generate buzz. The movie and its stars are up for five awards at the Golden Globes on January 15, including Best Motion Picture - Drama; Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama for Viola Davis; Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for both Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer; and Best Original Song - Motion Picture for Mary J. Blige's "The Living Proof." Oscar nominations will be announced on January 24.
