Reader Reviews

The movie tie-in edition of "20 Times a Lady"—now called "What's Your Number?"—is now available wherever fine books are sold!

To celebrate its publication, a few of my favorite readers came up with these great reviews...

"What's Your Number? is like Harry Potter minus the wizards, wands, and Lord Voldemort." —Michelle Bell

"‎What's Your Number? is like Gone With the Wind except with less hoop skirts and poverty and more beaus..." —Karen Meyer

‎"What's Your Number? is like To Kill a Mockingbird without all the racism and children." —Julie Stone

Thanks ladies!

Celebrity Birthdays January 31: Portia de Rossi, Justin Timberlake, Minnie Driver & More!

Happy Tuesday, readers! Can you believe it? The last day of January. Tomorrow is already February. I’m still getting used to writing 2012. Anyways, in today’s edition of Celebrity Birthdays, “Lucille Bluth” is 71, “Dolly Levi” is 91 and “FBI Agent Jack Malone” turns 52. Any guesses on who will be blowing out candles on their birthday cake today? Happy Birthday, Portia de Rossi! The former “Ally McBeal” and “Arrested Development” star is 39 years old today. Her wife, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, last Thursday celebrated her birthday as well. Lots to celebrate in the de Rossi/DeGeneres abode! Speaking of “Arrested Development”, the rumors have been confirmed. The entire cast of the cult hit will return for 10 episodes that will air on Netflix. Additionally, they will do a feature film. Yes!! So, so excited to finally hear that this is a go. Watch for its premiere in 2013. Happy Birthday, Justin Timberlake! The former ‘N Sync singer is 31 years old today. The always hilarious “Saturday Night Live” host recently popped the question to his lady love, Jessica Biel, but we have yet to see that bling on her ring finger! Could this be the year that the [...]

David Beckham Covers Men's Health UK March 2012

He's in the midst of launching his H&M Bodywear range, and David Beckham pumped up his press efforts by taking over cover duties for the March 2012 issue of Men's Health UK.

The 36-year-old footballer brought his studly charm to the magazine in a Doug Inglish shot spread while discussing how he's changed physically over the years and passing on the desire to win and compete to his three sons.

Highlights from David's in-depth interview are as follows. For more, be sure to visit Men's Health UK!

On why people respond to him:
"I think they see that I work hard. I think they see that I love playing, that I've got passion, that I want to help the young players in my team. Even at 36 years old I'm still running 12 miles a game. I'm still keeping up with what I was doing a few years back."

On how he instills his own childhood values unto his kids:
"It would be easy for our kids to sit back and not work for anything, but they're not like that. They're as competitive as Victoria and me. That's one area where we've been very lucky with our boys; they want to win. They want to work at something. They know their values. That's the way we've brought them up so far and that's the way we'll continue. They're very well mannered, very well behaved. But they've got that hunger and they're competitive and I'm happy with that."

On whether he's changed physically over the years:
"You have to change. As you get older you have to adapt your game. It takes you longer to get over the after-effects of a match. I've definitely become more aware on the field; I know what my limits are, what I can achieve and which passes I can play. So that's been my game over the last few years: I have adapted to my age, different situations and the positions that I'm playing in."

Vanessa Hudgens Talks Foot Tattoo on "The Tonight Show"

Back in the States after a globe-trotting promotional tour, Vanessa Hudgens took center stage as a guest on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" at NBC Studios in Burbank, CA on Wednesday night (February 1).

The 23-year-old donned a darling white dress as she joined fellow guest Daniel Radcliffe and musical performer Amy Lee of Evanescence for a group photo before getting ready for her sitdown interview.

Once onstage, Leno showed off a bikini candid of Vanessa vacationing in Hawaii while pointing out new ink adorning one of her feet.

Asking Miss Hudgens about the body art, the former "High School Musical" star told that it contained the words, "All you need is love," adding, "Which is true."

Then questioned as to whether it hurt getting the tattoo, Vanessa smiled as she confessed, "It's fake. I have this mad obsession with drawing on myself, like, I cannot help it. I draw all over my hands, all over my arms, obviously my foot. It's just fun. It's hard to commit to a tattoo, like, I have a few, so, when you write on yourself it's not that much of a commitment."

Jack White Drops New Song, 'Love Interruption'

Track is from White's first solo album, Blunderbuss, due April 24.

Jack White hasn't exactly been living life outside the public eye since announcing the end of the White Stripes last year, making records with everyone from Tom Jones to the Insane Clown Posse and appearing on a (really pretty excellent) episode of "American Pickers," to name just a few of his endeavors.

And on April 24, he'll officially add "solo artist" to that résumé, with the release of Blunderbuss, the first album to bear his name — and his name only. And while we suppose the move was inevitable, according to White, he never really had any plans to go solo. In fact, Blunderbuss, the first album basically began life as a happy accident.

"I didn't really even think of recording under my own name for a long time," White told BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe on Monday. "A few months ago, we had a session booked and someone didn't show up. So I said, 'I guess we'll do some of my songs' ... It kick-started the whole process."

In further kick-startery, White has also premiered the first song from the album, "Love Interruption" on his brand-new official site. A smoky, sumptuous mix of winsome Wurlitzer, acoustic guitar (and maybe a clarinet?), the song sees White harmonizing with Nashville singer Ruby Amanfu and lamenting over the power and promise of love. Yes, it is pretty great.

Fans can download "Interruption" now, and it will be available on 7-inch (of course) on February 7. Blunderbuss will be released through White's own Third Man Records, in conjunction with Columbia, and will reportedly feature contributions from the likes of Seasick Steve and Chris Thile, formerly of Nickel Creek.

Sound off on Jack's "Love Interruption" on our Facebook page!
